Pipeline crossroads of the world

Build where the barrels meet the map.

Cushing is the North American delivery point for West Texas Intermediate, with room for the manufacturers, service firms, and operators who want a central site, and for the housing those jobs need.

Why Cushing

A pro-business city with the utilities already in public hands.

The Economic Development Foundation is the front door for employers and for residential developers who want land, a local incentive conversation, or help with permits. Cushing Municipal Authority provides electric, water, and sewer. The City has published permitting times of about four weeks after a complete submittal.

See the advantages

01

Center of the state

US-33 runs east-west. It is two lanes from Cushing to Perkins, and two lanes with truck passing lanes from Drumright to I-44. A current project is expanding it to four lanes from Perkins to I-35. SH-18 runs north-south. I-35, I-44, and I-40 are the regional connections.

02

Municipal power

Cushing Municipal Authority serves a 12.5 kV dual-feed system. The City says rates typically run below the national average.

03

A deep labor shed

The City counts 187,095 people across Payne, Lincoln, and Creek counties, with Oklahoma State University and two technology centers nearby.

04

A faster path to permits

Projects inside the city limits are reviewed by Cushing. The published expectation is about four weeks once plans are in.

Life here

A county-seat town between two metros.

Schools, health care, and day-to-day life are the phase 2 companion. Housing development — lots and builder projects — is already with the other properties. The story is a small city with Stillwater, Tulsa, and Oklahoma City in reach.
