Home / Phase 2

Not built yet

The rest of the site, scoped for Cushing.

Phase 1 is the homepage plus About and Site Selection. These sections are scoped so a second contract can finish the site without redesigning it.

Workforce

Two pages: why the labor market is a reason to locate here, and where training actually happens. Use the City’s published labor numbers and name real training partners.

  • Workforce value proposition: 187,095 in Payne, Lincoln, and Creek counties; 3.1 percent unemployment and 6.1 percent underemployment as published, with dates attached.
  • Workforce development: Cushing Public Schools, Central Technology Center, Meridian Technology Center, Oklahoma State University, Langston University, University of Tulsa, and Oklahoma’s Training for Industry Program.
  • Optional later: a wage snapshot and commute map, only if a current study exists. Do not invent a labor shed.

Grow and Expand

Four paths for a company that wants to relocate, expand, start, or understand the local industries.

  • Relocate a business: the first-meeting checklist, site tour, and who attends from the City.
  • Expand a business: retention visits for employers already in Cushing.
  • Start a business: licensing, zoning, and a handoff to the Chamber.
  • Key industries: energy and midstream, manufacturing, health care, and field services, using the City’s own list of major industries and largest employers.

Life Here

Keep this section short and specific: where people live, learn, and get care.

  • Life in Cushing: Payne County, lakes and Stillwater within a short drive, two metros for the weekends.
  • Housing for people moving to town: price context and a pointer to local listings. Builder sites and lot inquiries are on the properties page, not here.
  • Education, child care, and health care: Cushing schools, nearby technology centers, and Hillcrest, which the City already names as a major employer.
  • Regional data: population, income, and drive times, sourced and dated.
  • Event space: only if there is a real venue the office wants to promote. Skip the page if there is not.

Airport

Cushing Municipal (CUH) is a public regional business airport. This page should give a prospect the facts they need before they call.

  • Runway 18/36: 5,201 by 100 feet, concrete, LPV approach.
  • Services published by the Oklahoma Aeronautics Commission: 100LL and Jet A, terminal, AWOS, attended, major repairs. No control tower.
  • Commercial air service: Tulsa International about 58 miles; Stillwater Regional about 29 miles.
  • Phone on the state airport page: (918) 225-0881. Confirm before printing it as the economic development contact.

Tools that make phase 2 feel finished

  • A property editor so staff can add, edit, and remove listings without a developer, replacing the sample cards.
  • An embedded map with real parcel outlines, only for sites cleared for publication.
  • News the staff can post without a developer.
  • A one-page PDF site sheet generated from the same facts as the website.
